Some new (and not so new) faces joined our Snow Ambassador program this winter. Please join us in officially welcoming these three skiers to our little family.
Eliel Hindert, Skier, Whistler BC – Eliel has been a part of our “flow” program since 2010. During that time he’s been busy helping us with product feedback, epic travel proposals, writing field reports for our catalogues and filming for Valhalla and other Sweetgrass projects. Most recently Eliel joined forces with long time ski partner Carston Oliver on a trip to ski the South Korean island of Ulleung. Eliel is also passionate about backyard environmental issues especially the ongoing trans-Canadian pipeline proposals. Zahan Billimoria – Skier, Jackson WY – Zahan is a passionate ski mountaineer and year round Exum guide calling the Tetons his home. As an AMGA certified ski and rock guide, his first love is taking high level athletes, film crews, clients and friends on steep technical routes in Jackson Hole and beyond. Z, as his friends call him grew up in the Swiss alps and is a well versed mountain athlete having been on US National Ski Mountaineering Team as well as the La Sportiva Mountain Running Team, he also holds the speed record for the Teton Trifecta (traverse of the Grand, Middle and South). Additionally Zahan is passionate about mentoring next generation ski mountaineers through his Live to Ski Camps and teaching high level snow safety courses. Spending as much time in the alpine environment as he does we’re looking forward to having him put our Backcountry Touring line throughout the paces.
Leah Evans, Skier – Revelstoke BC – Leah comes to us from interior British Columbia where she’s been an influential advocate for women’s skiing in the area. Every winter she hosts a sold out series of ski camps called Girls Do Ski, which brings together like minded passionate skiers and combines teaching technical skills and mountain knowledge. We’re excited to have her testing our women’s gear and look forward to seeing her in some exciting film projects we have in the works.
